Myanmar Trip Update 02

It's been hot and humid in Myanmar; I actually miss the Melbourne winter.
September has been a busy month already, with a lot of traveling. Just over a week ago, Saangpi, Kyaw Nay Lin, and I traveled to Aung Lan Township, Magway Region, in central Myanmar to meet one of our new missionaries, Brother Myo Kyi.
We left our office at 5 am and arrived safely after a 7-8 hour drive to see the work God is beginning in this brand-new field.
One of the highlights was meeting new believers who recently came to faith. We heard the testimony of Aye Thida, a middle school headmaster.
As a young girl, coming home from a friend's house late one night, she got lost and frightened. A man carrying what looked like a weapon approached her. Crying, she remembered once her uncle told her that if she was ever scared, she could always pray to Jesus. So she did. As the man approached, instead of harming her, he asked why she was crying, and then showed her the way home. She never saw him again.
Years later, when she heard Brother Myo Kyi share about the love of God, she remembered that moment. She believes God was watching over her even then. Today, she is reading the Bible eagerly, sharing her faith, and her husband, who has been facing health struggles, is also becoming interested in the Gospel. Praise God!
Beyond Magway, we’ve also been visiting several Children’s Homes in the Yangon region with Life Bridge Builders (LBB), seeking like-minded partners with the right heart for the community.
It has been encouraging to reconnect with local pastors and some of our former GTP missionaries as we support those in the field reaching the unreached in Myanmar!
We're also working towards running some exciting events for the disciples of Jesus and ministers here in Myanmar before the end of 2025 and early next year. Stay tuned.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer and support as we travel, connect, and encourage those who are faithfully serving across Myanmar.
Until next time,
