It’s been a while since our last update, so we’re excited to share highlights from our last AGM and our plans for 2025.

We feel blessed to have a great committee to lead us over the next year. We're thrilled to introduce our 2025 committee:

A massive thank you to Ron Suter, who stepped down for personal reasons after over 20 years of faithful service. Ron’s passion for our work in Myanmar and his advocacy for mission work around the globe have been inspiring. Thank you, Ron!

For those who may not be aware, last year, our founder and Director of 35 years, Mang Suan, stepped down. We’re so grateful for his passion, his sacrifices, and how he grew this mission from mustard seed beginnings back in 1989. Under his leadership, GTP has helped plant over 250 churches across Myanmar, leading to thousands of souls saved. Mang will continue to serve in our leadership, guiding GTP through these uncertain waters as Myanmar enters its fourth year of civil war.

As we enter the second half of 2025, we believe God is calling us to rebuild our foundations; to realign our work with the vision - To plant Spirit-filled, Gospel preaching and disciple-making Churches in every unreached community across Myanmar in co-operation with existing churches - and strengthen how we support all three partners:

Field Missionary Partners: Raising up church planters who carry GTP’s vision and mission, with a clear pathway to plant and grow thriving churches.

Intercessor Partners: Fuelling a fresh wave of prayer by building a committed community of intercessors across Myanmar and Australia

Sponsor Partners: Mobilising advocates in Australia to champion initiatives to grow the financial support, volunteers, and team members GTP needs to move forward.

We’re excited to be:

• Sponsoring two new Church Planting projects

• Relaunching our Equippers Training and a Missionary Training course

• Hiring additional staff in our Myanmar office and

• Starting new projects with Life Bridge Builders.

We're also excited to share that Ciin Suan and Saangpi Suan will travel to Myanmar soon to reconnect with our team and to plan for 2026 and beyond. Despite the ongoing conflict in Myanmar, we believe God is calling us to go and play our part in fulfilling God’s Great Commission.
